What is One World Observatory?
One World Observatory is at the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center. The Observatory is located on the 100th, 101st, and 102nd floors encompassing over 125,000 square feet. You’ll take an incredible Sky Pod Elevator ride to the top. Once aloft guests can explore three levels of the Observatory filled with innovation and inspiration. One World Observatory offers views of New York City’s iconic sights, surrounding waters, and iconic skyline – amazing 360 views for up to 45 miles in every direction.

What is the Observatory doing to encourage physical distancing and enhanced cleaning & sanitation?

What if the day I plan to visit the Observatory there is zero visibility?
The One World Observatory experience is so much more than a view and includes access to the SKYPOD ELEVATORS, CITY PULSE, SEE FOREVER(TM) THEATER, SKY PORTAL, special exhibitions VOICES and FOUNDATIONS and ONE Mix, ONE Dine and illy Caffe & Gelateria food and beverage establishments.

New York City does experience inconsistent weather conditions from time to time. However since weather conditions fluctuate and visibility can improve very quickly, we advise all of our guests to arrive for their ticketed time. One World Observatory tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis. However upon request, and upon the rare occasion of zero visibility, and at the discretion of the Observatory, a voucher may be issued for each un-used ticket allowing for re-entry on another date and time within 14 days, subject to availability.

How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets online with your computer, smartphone, or tablet by clicking here. You may also purchase tickets at the Box Office at One World Trade Center, 117 West Street New York, New York 10007. The Box Office is located at the corner of West and Vesey Streets, inside the main Observatory entrance.

How do timed tickets work? What are timed tickets?
Your admission is reserved for the time and date printed on the ticket. Arrive at your specified time and proceed to the observatory entrance. You must have a ticket to visit the Observatory. We encourage you to purchase tickets online in advance here. Combination tickets include priority lane access for security, elevator, and exit with your timed arrival. The All-Inclusive ticket includes priority lane access as well as arrival at any time during your selected day.

What if I arrive later than my entry time?
Late arrivals will be accommodated based on capacity – you may be required to wait until the first possible open time slot. We encourage you to arrive at your scheduled time to avoid any delays.

How much do the admission tickets cost?
For the most up-to-date prices and ticket types available, please click on Buy Tickets at the top of the page. Prices are subject to additional fees. Guests must be at least 17 years of age or accompanied by an adult at all times. Additional ticket packages and add-on experiences such as the One World Explorer and SEE FOREVER™ Imaging are available for an additional fee.

Can I bring my kids to One World Observatory?
Yes, One World Observatory is great for kids and guests of all ages. The stunning city views and interactive exhibits are family-friendly and suitable for individuals of all ages.

Is One World Observatory accessible to guests with disabilities?
One World Observatory has an ongoing commitment to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction for all aspects of the guest experience.  As part of these efforts, we are dedicated to offering a quality visiting experience to guests with disabilities that is full, equal to that provided to guests without disabilities.  To that end, One World Observatory’s exhibits and amenities are accessible to individuals with disabilities.  Guests requiring assistance e.g., auxiliary aids or services, should contact Guest Services at (844) 696-1776 in advance of their visit.

Where are the accessible pick-up and drop-off locations for guests with limited mobility?
One World Observatory is wheelchair accessible. There is an accessible pick-up/drop-off location along West Street north of Vesey Street, at which point guests may proceed to the West Plaza Entrance.

Alternatively, guests can access the Observatory from inside the World Trade Center Oculus.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes, strollers are allowed but you will be asked to remove your child and fold your stroller up for access to the elevators as well as the escalators within the Observatory.

Are pets allowed?
No animals will be permitted into or on the property of One World Observatory or West Plaza.  This policy is in effect at all times including when the facilities are not open to the public.  Exceptions to this policy are limited to (i) service animals and service animals in training; and (ii) police or other certified assistance animals will be permitted by a qualified handler on official business.

Can I take pictures?
Yes, we encourage all guests to take as many personal photos or video with hand-held devices as they would like. Please post to social channels tagging the Observatory @oneworldnyc.

Are tripods or other professional equipment allowed?
DSLR cameras and flash pieces are permitted. However, any other professional photographic equipment, video cameras, recording devices, tripods, lights, and other such equipment are not permitted. For Press or Media inquiries, please contact press@oneworldobservatory.com at least 4 weeks in advance. The Observatory reserves the right to refuse any such request for any reason in the Observatory’s sole discretion.

Can I bring food or drinks?
No food or beverage may be brought into One World Observatory.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, Credit Card (AMEX, Visa, Master Card, Discover), and Travelers Checks are all accepted forms of payment.

What is the refund policy? I never used my tickets.
There are no refunds or rain checks for your tickets – tickets must be used on the date/time listed on the ticket. However, if there is poor visibility, the See Forever Commitment ensures you can come on a good day. Learn more here.

Are there any special promotions or discounts for US military and NYC first responders?
When identification signifying membership is presented in person to the Box Office or Guest Relations, One World Observatory box office agents will provide 50% off full-priced STANDARD EXPERIENCE admission packages for the service member and 20% off for up to four accompanying guests. ACTIVE & RETIRED service members from the following agencies are eligible for this special discount program:  members of the United States Military Services, the New York City Police Department, Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services (Public Agency). One World Observatory endeavors to make this special promotion available every operating day, however, we remind our guests that all admission discount programs are subject to availability and limitation.

How do I get to One World Observatory?
For transportation and directions to One World Observatory, please click here. Use of public transportation is highly recommended to access lower Manhattan, given the minimal availability of on-street parking. One World Observatory does not provide parking.

What are the hours of operation?

We just showed up and would like to visit, but there are no tickets available. What can we do?
In addition to our timed tickets, One World Observatory does have a limited number of upgrade ticket options. These options include Priority Access tickets. Please click here for a full listing of options.

Where is the box office/entrance located for One World Observatory?
The Box Office is located at: One World Trade Center, 117 West Street, New York, New York 10007. The entrance to the Observatory is located on the West Plaza located alongside West Street at the Northwest corner of the World Trade Center site and is bordered by Vesey Street to the North.

I would like to see sunset, what time should I buy my ticket for?
We recommend purchasing a ticket for at least one hour before sunset.

How much time do I need to visit the Observatory?
You should allow approximately 45 minutes to 1-hour to complete your visit.

Do I need a ticket to the Observatory to visit the Restaurant?
Yes, our dining level is located on the 101st floor and can only be accessed by those guests holding tickets to the Observatory. Learn more here.

 

 

Are there public restrooms at One World Observatory?
Restrooms are available for use throughout One World Observatory. They are located on all three levels, as well as in the exit lobby on the first floor upon departing the elevators. Restrooms are for guests of the Observatory.

Can I purchase a guided tour?
Yes, the Observatory offers a Mastercard Tour that includes expedited entry to the attraction. To book the date and time of your tour, click here.

Is my ticket good for a return visit to One World Observatory?
All current ticket packages, including: Standard, Combination All-Inclusive and Mastercard VIP Tour tickets are only valid for one-time admission. Re-entry in the Observatory is not permitted.

Can I rent an audio tour?
The Observatory offers One World Explorer, an enhanced audio/visual experience in place of a traditional audio tour. One World Explorer is a unique view-enhancing, iPad application offering virtual helicopter tours of New York’s most iconic sights. The spectacular view seen from the Observatory is brought up-close in an interactive, sight, and sound experience where users simply scan the skyline and choose the sights they wish to explore.

How about a souvenir photo?
Yes, One World Observatory’s See Forever Imaging offers souvenir photos. Our photo area is located on the 101st floor. Purchase your photos as you exit the Observatory.

Is there a security checkpoint?

Is there a gift shop at One World Observatory? 
Yes, guests can visit the GALLERY at ONE WORLD, located on level 100, to view a varied collection of premium gift items for all ages. The Gallery offers uniquely designed products produced exclusively by and for One World Observatory. You may also shop online on our website by clicking here.

Is smoking permitted at One World Observatory?
No, smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Observatory including our outside West Plaza.

I am uncomfortable in an elevator; can I use the stairs to go up and down?
No, unfortunately, the stairs are not available, for guest use, except in an emergency. All guests must access the Observatory by elevator.

We are visiting prior to going to the airport; can we bring our luggage with us?
No, luggage is not allowed in the Observatory. Only bags/backpacks/packages no larger than 25” high x no more than 17” wide and no more than 9″ deep are permitted.  One World Observatory reserves the right to refuse entry to any article at our discretion.  We do not have lockers or storage capabilities for your personal items.  For a complete list of prohibited items, click here.

What is the appropriate age range for guests visiting the One World Observatory?
One World Observatory is appropriate for guests of all ages. The stunning city views and immersive experience is family-friendly and suitable for individuals of all ages.

Can I purchase tickets to One World Observatory for only my children?
To gain admission, guests must be at least 17 years of age or be escorted by an adult. School, scout, and other youth groups may get more information on advance reservations by visiting our Groups page.

How can I purchase group tickets?

Are dining and concessions available at One World Observatory?
One World Observatory offers access to curated eateries from casual café fare to seated fine-dining at One Dine. Dining and café options will only be available for ticketed guests of the Observatory. For more information, please click here.

How do I make a reservation at ONE Dine at One World Observatory?
For parties of up to six (6) Guests, you may book your own reservation through Open Table. Reservations may be made up to 30 days in advance.

Is One World Observatory able to host special or private events?
Yes, One World Observatory is a premiere host of special events. To inquire about special events at One World Observatory, please send an email to events@OneWorldObservatory.com.

Is One World Observatory part of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum?
One World Observatory is not affiliated with the Memorial and Museum. For information about the Memorial and Museum, please visit 911memorial.org.

You can come to our Guest Services Desk located on the Welcome Level under the escalator or you can call us at 212-602-4025 to check and see if we have your item. If the item you have misplaced has your contact information, we will contact you if we find it.
